Advertising Rules
1. provide a link to whatever site you're advertising. Whether it's a picture to click on or clickable text or just the url, we don't care. If we can't get to the site easily, we won't go and your ad will be deleted. Period.
2. a plot summary is always nice, right? Right. No ads along the lines of ‘just join and we’ll give you cookies~!’ or anything like that. No ads that are just pictures without any kind of description whatsoever. If you’re plot isn’t interesting enough to put into an advertisement, we don’t want you advertising on our site anyway. The ad will be deleted, no questions asked.
3. we need to be able to link back to you without LOGGING IN or JOINING. If your site refuses to let us advertise as guests, or has no advertising board, your ad will, again, be deleted. (delete key happy? Us? But of course)
4. random site-checks will occur periodically. If I happen to check your link, and your site is ‘dead’ (no posting but in advertising thread in the past 7 days) your ad will be deleted immediately. If your site is under construction, I will check again in a couple of days. If it is still under construction, the ad will be deleted.
5. Guys, let’s be semi-appropriate with our ads please? If you have a picture on your ad, that’s cool, but seriously, it doesn’t have to be a picture of people having sex. If that’s what your site is about, we can get that from your PLOT DESCRIPTION rather than a picture.
6. Post in the right sub-board. We’re all smart enough to figure this out, are we not? If you’re a first-timer, or a link-back, or an affiliate, just post in the right sub-board. For breaking this offense, your ad may or may not be deleted. It depends on what kind of mood that I am in. If your ad is a linkback and your post it in the first-timers, at the very least, you will receive a second ad on your site.
and finally, the one rule for which there will be no ad-deletion, xD
7. if your site is an invisionfree, then make sure that your add has correct, bbc coding and shows up correctly on proboards. Preview your ad first. Of course, you’re the only one who can tell us whether or not your add looks the way you wanted it to, so there won’t be any deleting for this offense. It’s just a word of caution.
the admins and myself reserve the right to change the rules.
